mangopuppy asked: My husband and I were in line at the border back to San Diego. Approached by a woman selling “teacup poodles.” We fell in love with one and bought him. He had a “passport” from a vet documenting his shots, birthdate (14 wks), and bloodline.
We took him to the vet here in CA. Vet said the papers were fake, and he’s actually 8 weeks old. AND he has worms, bronchitis, and a fever. Vet gave him a de-wormer and antibiotics. My questions:
1) Vet did not do blood work-up; just quick check-over. Is this normal? I’m wondering what other problems our pup may have?
2) Vet told us to wash our clothes & puppy, & vacuum everything real well. Are worms or their eggs going to be falling out of his butt constantly, or do they come out with / in his poops? Are we in danger?
3) Told us to keep him inside for 2 months. Why?
We never knew about the Tijuana puppy trade business; otherwise we would not have gotten the pup. But we love him and hope he’s okay

Susie C asked: I have to deal with 4 tooths abcessed (sp?), and replace caps, I’d prefer I think all new teeth, hard to say, I need to do this quick, using now just antibiotics and Motrin.
The cautionary statements/suggestions are ‘true’ — but as well is true that many in this locality do profess by some “very good dentists” in Tijuana … I’m recently retransplanted here, so I seek reference thru the net. Hoping to attract attention from someone who might actually have experience — you never know - but I appreciate ALL ANSWERS as I just discovered this feature and I luv it! Ciao and thanks.
